Africa was the birth place of the human race a bout 8 million years ago (specifically Ethiopia) and is home to 54 countries such as : Egypt, Tanzania Kenya ,Algeria, Sudan, Morocco, Ghana
,Mozambique, Ivory Coast, Angola
Cameroon, Niger, Burkina Faso, Malawi Zambia ,Senegal, Zimbabwe , Chad Guinea ,Tunisia, Rwanda, Benin and many more, at the most there are 54 states in Africa with current population being 1.1billion. |
Languages and tribes
There are about 500 tribes in Africa such as: the Murusi tribe, Aari tribe, Bana tribe , Hamer tribe , kung tribe and etc. . They all with different languages.
Some of the most popular languages in Africa are: Arabic ,Somali, Berber, Amharic, Oromo, Swahili, Hausa, Igbo, Fulani and Yoruba are spoken by tens of millions of people. Twelve of the African languages are spoken by 75 percent, and fifteen by 85 percent, of Africans as a first or additional language. Africa's largest tribes are the Yoruba and Hausa both holding 30millin natives and both in Nigeria. |
Religion
In Africa their are many different cultures and customs and religions.
one of the most well practiced religions is ANIMISM- the worship of spirits. Most people believe that Christianity is the first religion in Africa, but that was taught to the Africans when the Europeans came during the slave trade. Not long after ,the Muslims came and taught them the practice of Islam. Now in Africa they practice more than one religion across heir continent. |
